Top 10 Wii U Games for Kids

Here are the top 10 Wii U games for Christmas 2015. Mario is once again the top Wii U attraction for kids and often the family. So in no particular order as you may have some of these games already , but these are the top 10 rated Wii U games as per the Amazon metascore rating. So depending on what types of game you and you family like check out the following games.

Super Mario Maker

Mario Maker is the newest Mario game to be released by Nintendo and this is a real hit,  Super Mario Maker. has 10 Mario Challenges and 68 stages to explore and complete There is so much new and free content available rolling out regularly for Splatoon.

The recently added Squad Battles and Private Battles have new weapons and maps, and there is a new Rainmaker Mode. Three decades of Mario all in one. This is going to be one of the most popular Wii U games for Christmas 2015.

Super Mario 3D
Super Mario 3D World appeals to new comers and gaming veterans alike, it is amazing. It is the culmination of all Mario games and a mix of old and new, there are many secrets to unlock (including a 5th character), so many modes of game play and so much innovation. There are levels with Music reminiscent of Super Mario 64, Boss battles that are incredibly fun and amazing visuals throughout.

There is a level with silhouettes, a level that plays like an overhead shooter (with the double cherry as special powerup) and a Mario kart themed level and that's just some of it. The levels start out somewhat easy but this is to ease you into the game.

 Mario Kart 8

Mario Kart 8 is another wonderful adventure. For the first time ever, play as all seven of Bowser's minions, the Koopalings, you will love playing this game for family game night and it is a lot of fun playing alone. Take on racers across the globe and share videos of your greatest moments via Mario Kart TV.
The characters and vehicles are full of vibrancy and subtle animations, with smooth edges and effects that pop. Fireworks explode in the sky, flames burst from the exhaust and sparks fly when drifting; there’s a sheen to every surface.

Mario Tennis Ultra Smash

This is a new Mario Sports game and if you are a tennis fan, Mario Tennis Ultra Smash will be a lot of fun. Mario’s favorite sport is tennis and here is the latest addition to his career. This is a great sports game for any Mario tennis fan, and you can play singles and doubles with your favorite Mario friends like Princess Peach, Toad, Mega Mushroom and Bowser.

It includes a whole heap of power-ups, abilities and random events for each character and court to mix up play which makes this tennis game a little more special.

Lego Batman 3

In LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, the Caped Crusader joins forces with the super heroes of the DC Comics universe and blasts off to outer space to stop the evil Brainiac from destroying Earth. Using the power of the Lantern Rings, Brainiac shrinks worlds to add to his twisted collection of miniature cities from across the universe.

This game is the perfect mixture of action and puzzles, with 15 dynamic levels of fun to conquer then there is a bonus level –The Batcave. Hall of Justice, The Legion of Doom headquarters, and The Watchtower.

Lego Dimensions

Lego Dimensions has just been released and it is  the next action adventure gaming craze; you will need to
start with the Lego Dimension Starter pack which includes the LEGO Dimensions video game, LEGO Toy Pad, Bricks to build the LEGO Gateway, 3 LEGO minifigures (Batman, Gandalf, and Wyldstyle) and a LEGO Batmobile vehicle.

Then there will be an opportunity to expand your adventure by collecting more minifigures, vehicles, gadgets, and new levels with the purchase of three different types of expansion packs. Here are some of your favorite characters you will be able to explore with.The Lord of the Rings, The Lego Movie, The Wizard of Oz, The Simpsons, Lego Ninjago, Doctor Who, Back to the Future, Portal 2, Ghostbusters, Midway Arcade, Scooby-Doo, Lego Chima and Jurassic World.

Pikmin 3
Pikmin 3′s story will be very similar to previous Pikmin games; you will get to discover a beautiful world filled with strange creatures and take command of a swarm of ant-like Pikmin trying to survive. The world is densely packed with treasures and enemies, which makes the game much more action focused and fills it with layers of potential strategies and paths, adding greater replay ability to challenge modes according to creator Shigery Miyamoto.

It's time to assemble your Pikmin army and take control  of Captain Olimar and some of your other favorite Pikmin characters. Via Olimar, the player controls small Pikmins, which they have to command and retrieve several pieces of their spaceship, in order for Captain Olimar to rebuild the ship and return home.
Raymans Legends


Rayman Legends Globox, Rayman and the Teensies are off wandering through an enchanted forest when they discover a mysterious tent filled with a series of captivating paintings. As they look more closely, they notice each painting seems to tell the story of a mythical world.

While focusing on a painting that shows a medieval land, they are suddenly sucked into the painting, entering the world and the adventure begins. The gang must run, jump and fight their way through each world to save the day and discover the secrets of every legendary painting.




The game play is fine-tuned to near perfection, showcasing some of the best sword combat in the series. Focusing on horizontal and vertical attacks, combined with dodge and parry, taking down foes is easy and fun. Dungeons are littered with clever puzzles that were fun to rediscover. The intricacy of their design has always been one of the highlights of the series.

 Bosses are also a highlight, sticking with the traditional Zelda formula, each one is dispensed cleverly by the dungeon's obtained item, and each one is bigger, and more impressive than the last. Sail the seas in search of lost islands, fight fearsome enemies, take on mighty bosses and seek out the legendary Tri force.
